The Wood Band was an acoustic 3 (or 4) piece group that played regularly in and around Phoenix and California in the mid to late 90s. Built around singer/songwriter David Grossman, the arrangement of 2 acoustic guitars, congas, and saxophone gave a full but earthy sound to a breadth of Grossman’s material. They also notoriously performed a huge and spontaneous collection of cover songs . The band consisted of David Grossman on vocals and rhythm & lead guitar, Jason Montero on rhythm guitar, Joseph W. Frost on congas; and sometimes, when the stars aligned, Terry Anderson on saxophone.
